Hi

My daughter is 3 month old now, I am travelling to India next week. Can any one suggest some travel tips, precautions to be taken etc. Is is possible to nurse the baby while at airport or in flight? If any one has travelled with their baby please share the experience.

Thanks in advance

Regards
Anandhi

dear anandhi,

All that u need is diapers, ur baby's drops (if any), rash cream and i hope u know other diaper bag essentials.

take extra shirts/dress for u, ur daughter's favorite toy, pacifier, and remember to get ur daughter's medical report copy. having ur daughter's medical history is really good.

breast pump and take disposable bottles/liners, since we willnot be able to clean the reusable bottles properly while travelling.

also, take the baby formula (even if u feed her only once a day) which she has for ur whole trip.

these r some of the necessary things. hope this might help u. have a safe and happy journey.

love,
Jichi

Hi,
During landing and takeoff to avoid to much noise in your baby's ear, give him something to suck on. My doctor told me this. I breasfeed her during takeoff and she was fine. You could try pacifier too. Good Luck

Thanks

Hi Anandhi,
I came to US when my Daughter was just 2 months. I was alone but still i had no problems. She was given only breastmilk. so feeding was not at all a problem.During take off and landing she was either sleeping or drinking milk. so she didn't cry.
Have a nice Trip. Take care
