how can i improve the complexion of my baby. she was fair and pink when born.now she is 3 months old.her entire body is dark wehn compared to her face which is slightly better.
what is desi ghee.
pls suggest me to improve her complexion.
is dabur baby oil better or jj baby oil.will any of these darken the skin.

Hetal replied. hi, babies keep changing their complexion until they are 1 year. when my daughter was born she was pinky too, now she has her own wheatish fair colour.its quite normal seen in few babiees.i have also seen change in her skin from 6-9 month, a slight change though.
if the change of colour is slow, thats in 3 months or so,its ok. if its instant lets say 1 week, than check with your dr.
skin complexion can be improved by regular massages.u can massage her with a good oil (pure olive oil is the best, actually)however j&j is ok. after massage,give her light massage while bathe her with gramflour paste (gram flour, milk(enogh to make paste,turmeric(apinch))),,if chandan is available pure you can put that 1 pinch too.
make sure the paste doesnt dry by the time you massge her..so as soon as you apply paste with light massage,give her water bath.
also, dont apply paste in private parts. its difficult to clean it otherwise.apply paste on upper part of body, wash with water thoroughly, then legs and wash with water,,it will easier.and make sure you wash private parts after the whole paste thing is done with gentle baby soap.

give her bath with soap every alternate day.dont bathe with paste and then with soap.it will make her skin very dry. babies have sensitive skin,if rubbed so much, they tend to get rashes or dryness.
after bathe,pat dry baby.let her skin pores remain open for a while and come in contact with air.
after some 5 mins, apply a good moist baby creme.apply light.
now about desi ghee - its pure cows ghee which is mostly yellow in colour.its called desi because its from villages..and often its pure from village.
j&J is good standard brand, and is not reported to darken skin in any of their surveys.
sorry,i dont know about dabur baby oil.
