if things like this are heard by doctors and nurses in the west , they cry their tears.

Infact over here the first thing they ask you is to take a nice cold/hot bath to relax your sore muscles and generally give a clean feeling.
If you have stiches they suggest you to have sit . Which is esentially cleaning you genital area.
Regular meals should be taken, with stress on all groups of foods.
Also this thing about 40 days is no good , afterall the nfant has to checked by a paeditrician within 48 hrs for hearing test etc. and other general check up.

hi Deepak,
I agree with u completely, but th thing is not AGAINST bath , but Against COLD bath....
everyuting that needs to b washed has to b done with luke warm , or hot water..
thats the point..thought ill jus clarify...
these things never mean a compromise on personal hygine, just sum extra care which has to b taken, as for chkup from paeditric it has to b done not only with 48 hrs the infant is under supervision to make sure he doesnt develop jaundice..all this from my personal Exp as a mother of a 2 yr old.
