OH! PAPA, MUMMY COME SOON




Raju is sitting alone,because maid servant has gone for rest , mummy dady both are working , they don’t have time to see Raju. In Morning parents leave Raju in lap of maid servant whole day she treats him according to her knowledge and attachment .
Evening when other children are playing or walking with their with parents , Raju sees and remembers the parents but he is unable to explain what is going on in his mind and heart. He started crying ,servant was unable to know the reason of crying ,she felt irritated and slapped Raju for unnecessary disturbance. Raju could not understand the reason of slapping .suffering the pain of slap and uneasy feeling inside his heart and mind made him feel lonely and uncomfortable , he was not liking to play with his colleagues, because of the feeling of inferiority in his mind. He was sitting and not playing . He came back to his home when all children left the play ground because it was 8p. m. .While returning home he was happy that mummy and daddy both will be reaching home and they will love and kiss him and may bring some toys. Ah-----it is 9 p.m., phone ranged ,it was phone of Raju’s father “we are going in a business party and shall come late “ o.k. maim, replied the maid.
Maid servant ordered Raju “take your meal and go to bed . Mummy and daddy will come late .,Ready your bag also,as you have to go to school tomorrow.” Raju was only listening ,without any reaction on his face .”Tomorrow is fancy dress competition , teacher has written in school diary. Students should come along with parents” said Raju.. “I don’t know , I am your servant, not knowing about your competition. Sleep , it is late.” replied maid .Raju was neither feeling hungry, nor sleepy , he wanted presence of his parents to share his feelings.
He is weeping in his bed instead of sleeping . At 12 night mummy ,daddy came but they were also tired.. They didn’t even see the child thinking he is sleeping. They fell on bed and slept .
Raju was not sleeping he was thinking about school program .Morning Raju could not get up early . Servant made his tiffin and made him ready to go to school in dozing situation. Maid was doing her duty , she was not knowing feelings of Raju. What is emotion ,love loneliness and psychology of child - maid servant was not knowing .She took school bag and Raju and rushed to school bus stand. Raju went school .Maid cooked break fast and served Raju’s parents. They went office. For them everything appeared very normal . They had no time to think or talk about yesterday.
In school all parents were present in a big hall , function started all were enjoying ,but Raju’s eyes were seeing his colleagues ‘s parents . How happily they were talking and caring their children. In corner he was standing with many questions in his mind – why ?, what ? , where ?, without any satisfactory answer.
FOR a certain period he waited for his parents, but now he is not caring There is complex in his mind ,he is not obeying the teachers. Neither he is doing his class work carefully nor following rule regulations of the school, disturbing the whole class .He used to play out side the house and started taking drugs for sleeping.
Oh what a change in this boy - in school hours he is playing cards and seeing movie with his spoiled friends .He loves them and obey them.
Raju’s parents were unable to know the reason for his distraction from studies, because they have given all facilities ,good food ,costly toys and dresses, all modern equipments and luxuries, fulltime servent, all subject tutions & all that what money can buy.
Parents decided to send him in a costly school and kept him in hostel . Parents didn’t care to know what Raju wants , ‘After one year Raju was terminated from the school due to his bad habits.
Raju’s parents only knew that they both are working for their dearest son , but the most urgent and most wanted need of Raju ,they were not knowing .
At last due to drugs and some theft cases he had been sent to jail along with his near and dear friends.
“Oh God! What is this? what happened ? He is a problem child for us.” Parents uttered and were feeling shy in society .
------------My dear parents, problem child of yours is not the problem you are the problem with your child and you are the solution.
‘Child needs love, affection , caring and appreciation for his good work Scolding and punishment for his wrong doings.
This story of Raju is not the story of one Raju. There are many Rajus , who are waiting and crying - come mummy, come papa soon and listen to me maid is not my love, maid is not my solution.
