Hi Ladies,

I m a mom of 8.5 months old. Since birth my baby was given BM + Top feed(packet cow' s milk). I know I shunt have given Cow' s milk but due to ignorance I made that mistake.....thats an old story now. She is on semi-solids now.

I would liek to ask all the mom out there what shall I do to ensure healthy brain developement of baby. Is it possible for such small baby to have almonds?? what else could be given to make her a sharp n intelligent baby. I have heard that babies who are exclusively on mother' s Milk have very good IQ. I am afraid that my baby might not be very intelligent coz she has not taken enough B milk. Pls advice Mamas Padmaja replied. Hey dont worry abt intelligence. there r so many babies who were on top feed from day one. they r doing wonderful in their life. Its always gud to breast feed, but doesnt mean that top fed babies lack intelligence. as subha said, its depends on how u raise a child + every child is born with a natural ability which is unique. shubha replied. I know you are feeling guilty about feeding your baby cow' s milk.but in India...if mother dont have enough milk..then they give cow' milk n its not harmfull.and since your baby didnt had any problem then its good.about the intelligence...its not somthing dat you get it from milk.there are some things dat helps it to improve but the main thing is dat you have to encourge them to learn new things.
My story is dat my baby had my bm only till 4 months after dat she was on formula.now she is 22 months old.and she can tell her name(full name),can count 1 to 10,draw some pictures..so many other things..so i think doesnt matter wether your baby is formula fed or BM fed...it just comes to teaching ...n how you teach them.so dont worry...never think dat your baby is not dat intelligent.
