He has started to go to day care recently.He had never ear infection before,this is the 1st time,yes he got cold too.He is teething too.

Baby will be fine

Ankita,
Don't worry, if he is on antibiotics he will feel fine in couple of days, make sure you finish his dose of antibiotics. Very important and once he feels fine will start eating and regain the weight. My baby regained her lost weight in a week once she felt better.They tend to not eat as ear infection is painful.
Does your baby goes to daycare or playgroups. And did he/she had cold like symtoms too?

Ankita,

Does your baby get fever and all with ear infection. Is he/she on antibiotics. Make sure you take your baby to doc. In severe cases of ear infection, babies can loose weight. Are you in US. I have seen that Ear Infections are very common in US.

I m in usa.this is the 1st time he got Ear infection,1st doc gave him shot but it didn't clear now he is taking antibiotics but everyday he is losing weight.

This is an old thread but one thing no-one said was that exercise is important for gut motility. All the green veg and pear juice will be limited in their effectiveness if the kid isn't very physically active (just walking more and driving less helps!)
