Hi friends,

This is Liz from Bangalore aged 33.Married for 4 yrs and TTC for 2 yrs.2009 December came to know that I have PCOD.Tried diff medicines like Letroz,Metformin etc.
2011 March onwards started going to Sure Fertility. They did HSG.Doctor Reeta said that my AMH count is 2.62 which is not that good.So on my 2nd day of menstruation last mtn did a baseline test.Follicles were smal..After the menstruation, they started to put me on clomid which is of no help. Then started giving me Ovitrop ....follicles were 1.4, 1.5 cm .. 3 follicles were there. Then again Doc said 3 more Ovitrops need to be taken.Did - yesterday that is 28th Oct.. was follicualr study and she said that follicles stalled due to my bad hormone level. So suggested IVF which will cost around IVF?Note:Ii need to loose more weight as I am 66 kgs now!
So I am now depressed and do not know what to do... Please some suggest. Thanks for all of your kind help!

Hello. I hope you are well sorry to hear about your infertility due to PCOs. This has become so common it looks like you have struggled a lot due to this. But I'm glad you tried everything in your power. For some people, this works. But for people like you sometimes it doesn't. Have you heard about IVF? It is a fertility treatment where your eggs would be fertilized outside the body. This works best for women with PCOS. You should consider it for yourself. If you want my help, I'm here. Good luck for future. I hope things work out for you.

Dear Liz,
if it is unexplained infertility then would suggest to go for IVF but do take second opinion from other clinic like Life at Ulsoor from Dr Jyotsna Mirley(i have found her a good doctor) and prepare your body to undergo IVF ie lose weight and do some yoga and meditation. This will help you in keeping your anxiety levels in control.
All the best and loads of baby dust to you.God bless!

Hi Liz,

I can understand what you must be going through. Though IVF is costly, it also has very high success rate.
If you go for IUI, it takes a long time. (i' m 28, but have done IUI 6 times without success).
Considering your age, I think IVF would be best.
But it would be good to go for a second opinion, before going for this costly treatment.
You can also check dr malpani' s website.it offers loads of information and free second opinion.

I had septum in the uterus and got removed. Since I had a history of ectopic pregnancies, both my fallopian tubes are tied. Due to the poor ovarian reserve ... - Malini [View Message]
