hi mona,

do give breast milk till ur son is 1 yr old. if u r not able to do so, do give him formula. because, they get the nutrients only from breast milk or formula for the first one year.

make ur baby drink from bottle, when he is in his half sleep or first u feed him and when he starts sucking, transfer to bottle.

all the best,
jichi

hi neethu,

my son is almost five months now. till the first year, babies need more formula / breastmilk. u must try the solid foods, just to make them used to the taste.

am giving solids to my son. this is his schedule.
3 am - breast feeding
6 am - formula feeding
9 am - Rice cereals
12noon - breastfeeding
3pm - mashed veggie carrot, pototatoes, etc and after some time, formula
7 pm - breast feeding
10 0r 11 pm - formula

first start with vegetables and then go for fruits, because, if they taste fruits first, they will never like vegetables.

Hi! Mona

I have been breastfeeding my son but started bottlefeeding when he was 3 months only one feed a day and that too not everyday mostly to be able to go out. Lately I find at times he does not want bottle feed but there are times when he takes. I think its possible that one its the nipple of the bottle or try feeding when he is most receptive.Say after he wakes from a 2 -3 hr sleep and not crying. Don't wait for him to ask try and check. I still have days when he does not have bottle feed its got to do with the mood I think. I am still waiting for my answers....hey! someone please reply..
