hello all, My daughter (almost 2 years) takes everything along with sugar. I am in a position to add 3 to 4 spoons / day to make her eat any idli, dosa, oatmeal, ragi, tofu. I am so afraid about her teeth, which may result in decay if i donot care about it. Please suggest. How do u deal ur kids when feeding these above items. Also, she is not accepting anything if i add badam or cashew to it. Help.

Hi Sandhya,

You have to start trying to eliminate the sweet in all her fod or her teeth will suffer. For the time being i would suggest you replace sugar, which is really not the healthiest option for kids, with sakar- made of gurh. It is healthy, it has iron, so there is less to worry about. Also in the meanwhile start reducing the amount of sweet in her food and see her reaction. Add naturally sweet things like honey instead.
