Hi girls...
lemme tell u how my scans were done so far..
i went for my first scan in my 4th week..after that every 4 weeks...but then..in my 18th week for my down's screening..since my boy was moving a lot my doc had to do 4 scans in two weeks to measure the length ( i forgot the medical term) to make sure that the baby is alrt...and he was alrt !!and then in my 20th week i went for a blood test as well down's syndrome test..which gave me a very very very low risk..i believe .0001%..
then i went for a very detailed scan in my 23rd week,which is also called an anamoly scan done in SG by a specialist scan center and a specialist doc..which took 1.5 hrs..and then the same day i met my doc and showed the reports..so again she scheduled my scan 4 weeks after..which is supposed to be on 3rd sep..but i had on 25th aug cos i went to see her cos of my muscle pull...and my next is scheduled on 9th sep..4 days before i leave to India...

and i guess..from 8th week...we'll b having scans done every two weeks and in the 9th every week..this is the norm i have heard...

I must have the most bindaas doctor in the group....I got my first scan done by a different doc to whom I went to confirm my preg..I Think it was in my 5th or 6th week...the next one was the one in my 19th week..I dont even know if I will have any more!!!! Lets see..Suhanya you are lucky u get to see the baby every visit..I wud love that..Hey girl keep in touch even when you go to India...Keep telling us whats going on..

Actually I had my details US scan in 5th Week then on 21st Week by the Sonologist. My Gync has a Scan machine at her office only.. So each time I visit her she does the scan to check with the heartbeat. So this time when she did the scan she also noticed about the lowlaying placenta. So next detailed scan by Sonologist will be having in 34 or 35th week. Till then it'll be my Gync who will keep checking about the baby movement.

I had my first scan in the 6th week and then i had some spotty feeling and rushed to the hospital immediately and then again there was a scan in the 8th week and that's the reason i had to leave my job even though i had just starting working here in singapore. But frankly speaking no regrets dear as my baby was imp. And after this the next was in the 12th week and then a detailed Analogy scan in the 19th week. But before the analogy scan they had conducted the test for down's syndrome which came out to be negative with god's grace.

Now I have an apointment on 1st Sept. but no further scans. let's c.
