my son is months 1 week old. he gained around 2kgs 800 gms in the first three months. The problem is that he has decreased his milk intak e(currently on nan 1) overnight since he completed 3 months. Earlier he use to take around 800 ml in one day now he barely manages 600ml. Plus when i put him on my lap to feed he gets cranky. I took him to three diff pediatricians, they say baby is just fine, he is just slowing down. IS it normal? has anyone faced a similar situation? will it ever pass? am worried as he might not gain enough weight this month...

I think there is nothing to worry. Babies growth rate slows down after 3 months. My daughter is 8 and half months now. She was a frequent feeder and never gave gap of more than 2hrs in between feeds and also she was taking long feeds. After her 3rd month growth spurt, she decreased the quantity of intake as well started to give more gap between feeds. Even at that time i was worried, and sometimes forced fed her and was throwing it out. Then i started to respect her appetite. I hope this will bring u a sense of relief. Take care.
