I am 33 year old married woman with 2 children aged 7 and 6. We live in a Indian locality for the last 5 years. Though everyone in the neighbourhood is now like a family and the children have lots of friends and have their own gettogethers on holidays, we are beginning to find the house small for our family. Besides we are not happy with the facilities in the neighbourhood which is very congested. We recently came accross an other house which fits our requirements and budget but very few Indians live there. My children are dead against the idea and they are very angry with us over the idea of moving. They have pleaded, demanded and threatened me over it. I understand their feelings because as a child even I was moved from one town to an other when my father was transfered in his job and adjusting to new surroundings is not easy. But the truth is we have to move sooner or later. My husband feels we should wait for one more year for the children to accept this. My children will be going to the same school as now but they will miss their circle of friends at home and this seems to matter a lot to them. They are not very extroverted and take time to make friends.
