you can add ragi in her food, this makes sure she stays nutritious & healthy ...2 scoops of Ragi powder, either make it at home (sprout ragi, fry it without any oil or ghee, grind it and then filter it to take out coarse particles)or buy ragi powder in a good market ..2 scoops of this with water to make a porridge and mix with milk & sugar in the morning ..also u can switch from rice cereal to nestum rice ragi cereal with mashed fruits (you can give cooked & mashed apples with porridge made from cereals, this is more nutritious than bananas)....where do u stay ..you can start with these 2 alterations ..many kids dont like ragi in the beginning but my daugher eventually liked it if its masked in milk and not with water. try this !! .....no doc will deny that this is good and you will see many moms in this list who give ragi ...try 1 scoop for 2-3 days and see how his stool / health is ...then you can increase the frequency and quantity. mashed apples with market cereal and ragi should make sure your son stays nutritious to begin with.

hi neha,
I have started giving my kid ragi on her 7th month...anyhow u can start it now...regarding its preparation...the ragi seeds which u get in the market...wash them 3-4 times...soak for 1-2 hrs and dry them under sun...later powder it in mixie...sieve it well to obtain a fine powder....while preparing add 2 tbps of ragi powder, little bit milk, little bit of water, jaggery for sweet taste...cook it on flame until u get bubbles...cool the paste and give it..try making thin batter intially but later u can make it thick....gud luck...
