Feeding:Blore Moms - confused abt Pulse polio campaign !!

I' m really confused with this Pulse Polio... my dd has had all her vaccinations, polio drops according to the chart.. we also took her for Polio drops.. when the campaign happened last month in Blore.. It' s on again now and will be held again in Feb I believe
Do we need to take her each time ?
Her doctor also dosent give a clear answer.. sometimes she says yes u have to go.. and at other times she says it' s enough to follow the chart.. What do other Blore Moms do ?

Hi Prao,

I am a mother of a 11 month old and i was a rotractor and we served the polio vaccine to children.
We HAVE to give the polio drops everything time there is a national campign , teh reason being... the polio virus passes in the air and stays there.
Everytime there is an instance of Polio there is virus in the air.. it passes in teh babys stools and spreads and can affect anyone.
So untill there is complete eradication of polio we cannot rest safe.
So my request to u is.. take time out and administer those drops to the baby everytime it is on...

They are supposed to recieve the drops as per their chart and also everytime there is a national campaign...which is usually in dec - jan - feb. thats wht i have heard from my son' s ped.
