Hi ,
We have been TTC since Jan 2003 without success .
I have been having irregular periods since last year Jan 2003 like(30,35,40,45..days then this year in Feb'04 18 days).
Last year when i went to my gyneac with the irregular periods problem they asked me to wait for an year to arrive at a result that there is a problem with conceiving....
Now we have been visitng a Reproductive Endocrinologist since last 2 months.I guess we were not late in doing so.....
On the Reproductive Endocrinologist's advice we got my husband's SA done ..the count was good .
Then,i got my blood tests done hormonal levels etc. were normal.
Then there was another repeat blood test for progesterone level last month where the test result indicated i did not ovulate in that cylcle.

I had my HSG on 12th.In my case the dye filled up the right tube quickly and spilled ,the doctor tried once again to check for the left tube with another dye then, she concluded that both tubes are open.The discussion regarding the results of this test are yet to take place with the RE.
In the meantime my husband has been asked to have a repeat SA with IBT.
So....with so many tests and such a lot of anxiety we both are losing it ,all our discussions are always about why are we not achieving pregnancy ...although we know it is not good to be stressed but can't help it .I am very low in life because of this.All my peers i know have successfully conceived and on their way to delivery!
Has someone out there gone thro something similar?Can anyone share their experiences ?What is the next step in treatement?
Are there any alternative medicines to help me conceive?Like ayurveda...does anyone know about it?

It's hard time and such a despair feel.

I won't be of much help as subjectline of the message say \";Take it easy\";, which is pretty difficult to do for you.

I understand however when others conceive you have some reasons to feel tensed about.
But working for a year and a little above is not any abnormal.
Since your last year discussion with your Dr. hold with pregnancy he/she asked you to try for a year than really considering root of irregular periods. It's important to know why you have irregular period provided before this you used to be very regular for your periods.

Absolutely much you are stressed more difficult to hit success.

If your spouse has normal semen and sperm count and your HSG said tubes are clear then there is high chance that you need to work on timing and your anxiety.

I think your periods are irregular and given that you can't know exact ovulation when happens. Following things might help, they are little time cousuming but of great help, cetainly less than waiting for long as much you did.

Each morning while you get up take your temperature (use digital thermometer and try to stick to same timing).
Just before ovulation your temperature will be 0.4-0.5 degrees below than your previous day temperature. Also right after ovulation in a day your basal temperature would be increased by 0.2 to 0.9 degree.
For example your temperatures of CD1-CD14 showed 97.40 deg. F.
CD15 97.11 deg. F.
CD16 97.90 deg. F.
This means you ovulated between CD14-CD15 and if you had intercourse CD12 through CD15 then chances to hit success are more.

Cervical Mucus:
wipe your genitals after urination with soft toilet tissue. Try to use tissue that's not scented or colored. The day your feel stringly clear egg white like mucus after wiping, you are in highly fertile period and make it happen during that day.

Ovulation Prediction Kits:
Since periods are possible even without ovulation (once in a while is normal, if that's everytime then gynecological help is needed to investigate).
Here Ovulation prediction kits will help you identify which day is good to have intercourse. Abstain from it until you get OPK results positive. Tests are performed beween 12 noon to 3 pm. The expenses will be definitely less than what you would count for fertility treatment.

If you are on hold due to improper timing then above made suggestion should prove the best.

Most importantly believe in yourself and do not stress, this will cause trouble than helping in this matter.
