thanks a lot for the reply. however, my baby is taking very little milk(formula and breastmilk) for the past 2 days. he takes about 2oz milk and he sleeps for even 7hours in the night and even 5hrs in the morning. eventhough i try to wake him up by changing his dress, he cries a lot and again goes back to sleep. is this normal. i'm very concerned about this. please reply
nivedita Hetal replied. he is taking the intake of milk he is supposed to, at this point of time.
1/2 months --> 6/8 feedings or on demand, whole feels depnding on milk supply newhere from 10-15min to even 20-25mins. offer both breast in each feeds.
formula --> 6/10 feedings of 2/4 ounces each.
i will not be worried and feel lucky to have such a blessed child that sleeps that nicely. my baby used to wake upevery 2-3hours,nd it continued prettylate until she was 6-7months..
i have heard of parents whose babies sleep well enough at night.
wat are his total sleeping hours in a day ? what is total intake ?
what was his birth weight and wat is his birth weight,,keep an eye on that,
mornings sometimes sleeping that long is ok, but not everytime.
also, wats his sleeping schedule..
always prefer to talk to your dr about it, he knows your baby from day 1, and he will be able to tell you about the worries, if ne.
and yes, this is pretty much,i have heard of babies sleeping well at a strech. their moms are always happy moms :) you know,,provided you keep an eye on his weight.
