Hi Hetal,Ur reply to Nivedita's query was very helpful to me too.Thanks so much.My baby is now 20 days old.Im not able to get enough Bm so i feed him 2-3 times BM and then give him Similac Advance rest of the times.Is this good?Im feeling bad that i am not getting enough milk but what to do.i tried eveything but in vain.Is Formula good for days old baby?Do U have any suggestions.I am very worried about his health.Pls advice.Thankyou. Hetal replied. you are lucky that you are able to give some BM to your baby..there are mothers who could not produce at all.

their babies are on formula from day 1 until they were weaned to cows milk, thats at 1 year,,,they were perfectly healthy babies with excellent growth and developments.

it doesnt matter what formula you use, unless your baby has shown ne kind of aversions or discomforts to it.
and about feeling bad,dont strain yourself with that pain..
you are lucky that you are able to get some BM,,some ladies out there couldnt bf at all or express at all..they tell people that their kids cant digest lactose,,well no one understands that its never the case ! atleast you are giving some,,,be happy with it. there are some things in life that we cant just fight,,so just leave them. why run after a magin genie thats lviing in magic kingdom only...

there is so much to feel good about,,play with your child, njoy with him nad let him enjoy with you..and you got a healthy child..so njoy with him.

so dont worry, as far as your baby is able to accept that formula in his system, you shouldnt be worried..keep a well check on his intake,,often bottlefeed babies tend to get overfeed its irrespective of bm or formula...so always take care regarding that.

watch for ne discomforts and report it to your dr.in case he might change the brand if needed,,until then let your baby njoy it.
good luck ,dont worry, as far as your baby is having a healthy routine of a healthy child it doesnt matter whether or not he is drinking BM or formula...
