congratulations,,sory my ip window is acting kinda wierd,,
here is your matter :

1–2 months --> 6–8 feedings or on demand, whole feels depnding on milk supply newhere from 10-15min to even 20-25mins. offer both breast in each feeds.

formula --> 6–10 feedings of 2–4 ounces each.

You can be reassured that your breastfed infant probably is eating enough if he or she:
1.seems alert, content, and active
is steadily gaining weight, growing, and developing. now that he is 1month, he will no more lose his birth weight or water weight, so now you have to expect her weight gain and check on it every week on this birth day(not date,eg if thursday, check weight on every thursday)

2.feeds six to eight times per day
is wetting and soiling diapers on a regular basis, 6-8diapers.

Breastfed babies after 1 month, tend to have fewer bowel movements than they did before. When your child is around 2 months old, he or she may not have a bowel movement after each feeding, or even every day.

please note that If your infant still hasn't had a bowel movement after 3 days, call your child's doctor.

One note about formula feeding: It's easier to overfeed your baby, when you're using formula because it takes less effort to drink from a bottle than from a breast. You can help avoid overfeeding by making sure that the hole on the bottle's nipple is the right size or is right flow nipple. The liquid should at the slowlest flow rate from the hole and not pour out.

Also, resist the urge to finish feeding the bottle when your baby shows those signs of being full, even though sometimes he might drink only 1 ounce..see his cues to watch if he is full or not. forget about finishing up whole bottle..keep an eye on bottlefeeds.

at 1month, night time sleeping hours 8 1/2.and the daytime sleeping hours, around 7(3naps in total in a day of 2 or more hours).which makes total of 15 1/2hours to 16 hourrs in total..depending on baby activeness.
please note that some babies have slept more or less as these are general recommended guidelines and not all babies follow same sleeping schedules.
your baby is right now 1month, so start developing good sleeping habits to make your life easy lateron...try to make your baby sleep thru night of atleast 5-6hours at a strech by giving him a good massage and then a good bath or visa versa, whatever fits your baby preferences & your baby caring,if you succeed in doing so, you are one of those lucky mom who will get good night sleep :)

good luck,njoy your time.

When babies go through growth spurts, they will eat more. A newborn baby may feed between eight and 12 times a day, or even more. Growth spurts may occur at 2–4 weeks, three months, and six months, and may last 1–2 days.

RE:Adult breast feeding
I was not breastfeed in my childhood hence the idea of sucking and feeding from a woman's full, engorged breasts has infatuated me. It is a fantasy that drives me wild like nothing else, just the thought of laying my head in a woman's lap while she brings her swollen nipples to my mouth. Ideally, I'd like to finally explore this with the right female. If you are in or near... - Sanjayhyd [View Message]
