I just want to know what is the ideal timetable for a 1 year old baby. My son has just completed 13 months. I give him milk at 7:30 A.M. Then I leave him at Mil's place where he has daliya at around 10:30 or so.. after that in the afternoon she gives her whatever is cooked in the lunch.. after 2 hours (before we pick him) its again milk.. then in the evening we give him some fruits / biscuits.. in the dinner .. we give him.. again whatever is cooked .. he sleeps at around 11.. after having milk..

Is it okay?.. He weight.. 10.5 kgs.. but people call him thin...

Any comments.. thanx

Kindly tell me how can i develop the habit of eating in my 2.5 years old son, as he does not eat any thing solid he likes only milk. If i give him any thing solids(fruits, bread, rice etc.) he does not digest it . he passes it out through vometing ofr stool. I am very much worried about his health. Kindly suggest me something effective.
Thanks & Regards
Neeraja

I too haved a boy of 13 months. See what I firmly feel is that they should get 5-6 meals. You can introduce Cornflakes,Boiled sweet potato,Sattu or wholemeal brown bread with milk n honey. Dont go for biscuits. That' s only sugar.

For ur Daliya time other alternatives are-boiled potato(if dont eats pieces then it can b grated n jeera fried with some water to paste form, kids love it),omlete, rava upma(jeera, hing, haldi, rava, salt),sabudana(either with milk n sugar like kheer or salt n water).

all fruits shud b introduced.try milk shakes of mango, cheeku, musk melon.........

wnatever time u follow, feed him after 2-3 hrs.give protine diet with egg m meat.if vegetarian give boiled rajmas, lobiya, soya etc.

for 1 yr old standards say 10-12 kg wgt ok.dont worry.i hear the same comment for my kiddo too.

bye

Dear Neetu,

I have the same problem as you. In fact even worse, I should say. I also have 1 13 month old son and he too sleeps at 11. His eating is quite bad and we literally have to bribe him to eat. He weighs only 8 kgs but he is so active. I also have a problem giving him milk. Can you please tell me how you prepare daliya? Thanks

Veena

Hi Veena,

Kids of this age have the tendancy to be disinterested in food..

I prepare Daliya by taking equal parts of yellow moong dal and daliya ( 1 take 2 tbsp daliya and 2 tbsp dal) . Warm Ghee, then add a lil bit jeera, when they chatkofy add the washed daliya, add water suffient water the way u add in khichdi, sprinkle salt, a pinch of garam masala, jeera powder (u can put kali mirch powder). Serve hot.

Hope ur son likes it..

Neetu
