Hi Sirisha,

Though your cousin had labour pain for a long time, look at the positive side of this that her delivery was normal and main issue is the baby is healthy and fine. I have heard many of them who have gone thru such long hours of labour but hv also heard from same people that we u have ur little angel in your hands you forget everything what u have gone thru. I very well know that it is easy to say but when u actually have to face, it is very difficult.

I totally agree with Dee, Raji & sandhya that every labour is different.

Bye and take care,

i wud be lying if i say that i dont get tensd thnkin bout the labor n delivery.

but then thnkin practically i come with the same thoughts as shared here by sandhya n raji.we shud get prepared for the comin time n not get scared bout it.also its true that all of us r not the same.si it is so very much possible that u dont ve to go thru wot yr sis went thru.

instead of gettin scard u shud try gainin more info bout this entire process.

so jus cheer up n try divertin yr mind frm such thoughts.

take care

dee

Hi Sirisha,

Delivery experiences differ from person to person. I dont think you should start worrying about it now. Cross the bridge when you come to it. You need not necessarily have a long labour or a painful one. I know of people, my own sister and my cousin, who had a quick labour. My cousin even said that it only felt like a very bad back pain, nothing else. With my sister, her both kids were out in a couple of hours after she was admitted. So chin up and dont think about it now. A doc at my clinic told me, dont worry about anything now. God knows when the baby comes out you will have lots to worry. So cheer up!

Best,
Raji

Hi Srisha

Having had a normal delivery myself,I have just one piece of advice:\"; cross when the bridge comes\";.I don't think there would be any mother who would say that the pain was plesant. It's good to find information about the real sympotms of actual labour pains, ways to minimise it etc. But,it's not good to think about it too much or confuse your mind by hearing labour horror stories.

I wish you the luck.

Sandhya

Very good doctor
Hi,

I delived a baby boy in March 2009. I consulted Dr.Chitra Ramamurthy during my pregnancy cycle. She' s one of the best doctors in Bangalore. Not many people know about her. She handled the entire process in a very professional manner. I used to visit her clinic in Jayanagar 3rd block. She is very caring and affable. She says what to do and what not to do. ... - Sandhya Rao [View Message]

So long as your baby is feeding, that' s all that really matters. These days, formulas are packed with everything the baby needs, and although it is never as good as breast milk, it' s perfectly fine. It sounds like maybe what you are missing is the bonding that breast feeding provides? My first child had both breast and bottle milk for the first 6 months, when I had a mis... - Jhumri [View Message]
