I got a female kid of exactly 1year old. I started working 2 months ago. From that time I stopped feeding during my working hours. but on saturday and sunday when I am at home she demands for breast milk . Some times on working days also when she is sleeply she wants breast milk and makes fuss. During night time she wakes up around 5-6 times for BM. My doubt it seems impossible breaking the BF habbit. For her age is it OK , when should I stop BF . Some people says that comfortable upto 11/2 year I can continue BF . Please help me , suggest me some thing in this regard Hetal replied. hi,

its said by many drs & i too will not comment on that,,if you are happy to bf your baby and if your baby is also njoying bf, then its totally your personal decision whether or not to continue breastfeeding...however, many drs expect mother to start weaning from 7months onwards or even 1 year later on depending on how baby health is and mother milk supply is..so you be the best judge !
the reasons behind is are pretty much dpending on babies attachment to mother/breast. once baby croses timeline of 9mnths, he starts getting in habit of bf or bottle. his attachment starts becoming stronger so dr advice moms to wean babies by 1 year,,also most of moms milk suppy dwindles by 1 year, which makes weaning easier in most cases.only if baby is asking for feeds to satisfy his hunger and not habit !
