Hi Radhika,
Just thought I'd let you know about my trip to the nutritionist. She basically said that I can eat everything. I only need to limit it to particular amounts every meal. And of course there is that testing 4 times a day. She said to test out a few diff. things, see what works. I will meet with the doctor next thursday, by which point I should know whether I can go back to my regula doctor or not.
How have your levels been since you started the diet ? Do you need to take insuling shots?
All else seems fine. I think the baby has moved position..gone from being horizontal to being vertical...don't know whether the head's down.

Wonderful that you don't have to go on insulin. I just started testing yesterday..have'nt quite figured out the perfect diet yet, but the 140 seems within reach...I just hope I make the cut and things stay that way!
I do work and am still hoping to work till the end. The birthing center is right next door in the same facility, so should I go into labour early, I'd rather be at work than at home. Also, it keeps me occupied and busy....and gives me that extra bit of excercise!
Let's keep ou fingers crossed that we'll go though the next couple of months without any more drama!

Priya,

Good for you that you can eat pretty much anything. Things arent so bad at my end either. The Doc (endocrinologist -I visited him yesterday) has decided no to put me in insulin shots so far which makes me pretty happy. The blood sugar levels are in control with diet and exercise. The flip side is that I am losing weight... lost about 4 lbs in the past two weeks. Considering that I hadnt put on significant weight to start with, this has started worrying me a bit. The Doc says its normal, so I'll just trust him for now.

The baby is doing well, kicking around. I do feel a lot of kicks above my belly button so am hoping that he's turned around. Am also starting my maternity leave earlier than expected, which means no more travelling for me (yippeeee).

Do you work?? Take care of yourself and stay in touch!!
