some docs recommend starting with fruits or veg rather than cereals, it all depends on what your baby can digest

At 6 months u can try the following
Fruits
1)mashed ripe banana - the small yellow one
2)mashed avacado (butter fruit)
3)Cooked & pureed apple
after a month or so u can try chikku, pappaya & pear (cooked) too

Vegetables (all cooked & pureed)
Carrot, sweet potato, beans, peas, bottel gourd (lauki), spinach
All other veg after a couple of months

Plan to introduce these veggis so that she is eating all the veg u eat around 10 months

Better to introduce tomato (& other citrus stuff) & onion a little late - around 10 months

This may look like a lot, but remember not to introduce more than one new item within a span of 4 to 5 days. So if u start alternatly introducing a new fruit & veg, considering that children are fussy and may fall ill in between & all that.. she may not be eating more than 2 fruits & veg after a couple of months.. this is fine.. go slow
I have just listed the items that \" can\" be given

hiya rhea
for 6 months old baby
take one carrot peeled and chopped put it pressure cooker with enough water and cook for 5 min and puree it
then slowly slowly when your baby get use to of vegetables you can start adding couple of leafs of spinach, half medium size boiled potato, 10 or 15 peas, half tomato or any another vege. what u think is good of your LO.while makeing this u can always add a handfull of red lentils with vege. and then puree them.
wot i do is take 2 teaspoon of chopped onion and 1/2 teaspoon of garlic n fry for 2 min then add tomato and all the vege and lentil n water.
and regarding fruit again boil some sweet apples or pears and puree them be4 offering it to your LO that won' t harm baby as i have gave this to my LO since he was 17 weeks old and these fruit r reccomended for LO in uk.
hope this help.
