Hi Eager lady,
As far as I have heard, IUI success rate is around 20% depending on varius factors like your age, sperm count, quality of eggs, sperms etc.
I have just had my first IUI and am waiting for the results.
IUI is a simple procedure. Here is my experience.
Day 2 - Tested Prolactin and LH levels and started with medications (Asprin, Folic Acid and one more for high prolactin level).
Day 3 - Had Humog Injections for 3 days
Day 8 - Started my Ultrasound scan.
Day 12 - Got HuCog injection
Day 13 - Got 2 big follicles and asked to come for IUI next day
Day 14 - Follicles matured. DH gave sperm sample by 11 am and I was called for IUI at 1 PM. Took rest for 45 mts after procedure.
Came home and started progestrone medicines (vaginal) twice a day.
Today is my Day 15PIUI. Will be taking test on this saturday (17 dpiui).
Dont worry, the process is not very tough. Good luck to you!

The success rate in IuI decreases after 5 attempts.Your Doctor will ask you to go for IVF in case you are unable to get success with IUI.Please give gaps between your attempts (try naturally),this will improve your chances. But all this depends on your harmones, egg quality, utreus and most important your husband' s sperm count and motility of sperm.
