Hi All,

i am 27 years old been married for long time, i had my left fallopian tube totally removed, i have tried getting pregnant normally but it didn' t work, so i my best option was IVF which i tried 2 times and it didn' t work :(
i have done my IVF transfer (3 embryo) 5th Feb 09 and i got my result negative last Thursday. i met my Dr. today and he was shocked to know it didn' t work, keepping in mind everything was great all my blood tests were very good the embryos were excellent. therefore, my dr. thinks there might be some kind of water (which i really cant understand) inside my fallopian tube and thats what is causing the failed IVF, and if that is correct he wants to block my tube.

please help me understand that, if you have been through the same experience, or you know anything about it.

is it possible that water could be inside the tubes and killing the embryo?

my endometrial thinckness is 7.8 mm at its best conditions.

did my IVF faild because of my endometrial thickness or it is true i might really have water inside the tubes?

I too had a problem with my tubes.. for me it resulted in an ectopic pregnancy after an IVF... I then had to get a laparoscopy done to block it. Then before I was ready to try IVF again, my doc suggested that I should block the other tube too as she did not want to risk another ectopic (If the tubes are not healthy there is v high chance of ectopic occurring).. I had no option but to do so.. that completely ruled out my chance of getting pregnant naturally (at which I never achieved a success anyway).. I decided to ahead with it and followed by an IVF.. now I' m blessed with a beautiful daughter!
So, if your doc thinks thats your best option, then go ahead.. but do try and take a second opinion.

i too am facing a similar kind of situation. all my results are normal...the only problem is the embroys dont survive....i met an infertility doc recently..she said that the embryo quality is not good thats why its not surviving...

i have done two ivf - both negative
some iui' s - all negative

this doctor that i met..she ruled out that my uterus is rejecting the pregnancy...she said its all on the egg quality .......

i hope that some miracle happens to both of us.....god be with us through this difficult journey.
