Hi all,
I have 1 month old baby and give him gripe water when needed.
But now i heard that gripe water is banned in india it has alcohol etc etc.. all stories from people around.

We are using Hamdard gripe water which has all natural ingredients. Please help me if it is safe to give? also what other brands r safe? what abt woodwards non-alcoholic and mylicon?

now a days various brands of Gripe water that r available in market do not contain alcohol. its written on the bottles as alcohol free. but still personally i feel for a 1.5 months old baby, gripe water may not be the correct option. from what ever i read on net, gripe water might contain carbonatives. intead of that for stomach pain, u can try colic aid, which many docs advise and is quite safe and mild. my daughter used to vomit and had frequent gas and stomach pains during 2-4 months. that time i had considered various options including bonnisan, gripe water etc... but finally stuck to colic aid which my doc has prescribed. it worked well.
