Try n share with him what your concerns & difficulties are. At the same time hear him out with an open mind. And don't make it personal - both of you.

This is the matter where no one but you only can help yourself. Try to understand his reasonings to have a second child and then put your points as to why you don't want the second kid. Then the best thing will be to weigh both of your points and come to some mutual agreement. I know, it is not as easy as it sounds. In my case, me and my hubby, never wanted a second kid. But for some reason the contraceptive failed and I concieved. Once concieved, I didn't want to abort, whereas my hubby (always wanting to adopt a kid) was very strong about not going for second kid. I just asked him, apart from me and my daughter and his parents whom he loves the most and whom will he turn to in days of despair and he said his bros. I just asked him, why he want to deprive our daughter of someone whom she can always turn if something happens to us. After lots of discussion we decided to go for the second kid and he is also very happy now. Similarly, in your case, I am sure, you must be having very strong reason for not going for the second kid. Just try to explain it to him while not ignoring his reasonings and then come to some conclusion. My best wishes are wish you.
