Hi, As this post is logged a long ago, have you found the good fertility specialist doctor in Pune?

I am trying from 3 years. I was visiting Dr. Amit Patankar (No luck for 2 year) He has diagnosed me as unexplained infertility. Then I stopped the treatment. I was finally setteled to show Dr. Sunita But after reading this post I am bit confused.

Frankly speaking. We din´ t like pune in terms of doctors and so we would not continue for this treatment at least in pune. This is a big thing to happen in life, and we wanted it to be best and will go for it. Heard of avinash as well, but not very positive reports from some one we came to know while we went to sunita.

Is even more disgusting. Nobody knows how much success was there in this hospital. An instance to share with you. After we were unsuccessful, we knew one other couple who also went through IVF after we did and the lady called my wife and told her that she was also -ve. She told us that when they asked why it happened, doctors had no answers and said that there were 3 more cases the same day and all were successful. Now, we know at least one such case other than she who was unsuccessful. The worst part is that they will have no clue about what happened and they will be least bothered once they see that you are -ve and dont want to continue further. So, you will get replies like " I have more patients to see" . As if its like a business and will really be disgustingto listen such words after you spent so much time, effort, emotions, tolerated.

Sunita Tandulwadkar, is quite a good (probably only in books) name in the field of IVF in Pune. She has a team of immature doctors who need spoon feeding from her.

She, the senior doctor, among these bunch of doctors doesn' t know how to talk to patient & their relatives who have just gone through the worst treatment of IVF in their hospital.

We know at least 6 couples who went through IVF at Ruby Hospital under Dr Tandulwadkar' s consultation and not just a single case of success other than just one or two cases whose gratitude letters are pasted on her wall.Other than those,there is no database of successful cases for reference purpose for new patients who want to hear first hand experiences of successful IVF stories.

Our Experience.

She is very commercial. She asks people to go to Pune hospital if they are coming to Ruby Hall Clinic so that she can run her business smoothly as Pune hospital is more a charitable trust hospital and the receipts also are pretty much the same. She gives a receipt of Pune Hospital which has her clinic address and does not give a break up of the bill amount. The bill says \" Received with Thanks From XYZ \" cash of XYZ rupees and nothing more than that. No description of the diagnosis, treatment given or injection/medicine' s names etc.
If you would ask them, we need break up or a proper authorised bill for the huge payments we are making (which goes upto Rs.80,000-90,000 other than Rs 55,000 for rest of the procedures exclusive of medication costs)etc, they will say \" it is like that only & go and talk to m' am if you have any objections .And none of the patients can object to it, as ,all people are looking forward to, is a successful pregnancy and dont want to spoil relations with the chief consultant as after all,everything is in their hands. Patient puts her entire trust into the doctor and doesnot question anything that she does.

Your first visit and she will suggest you IUI. Your second visit and she will suggest IVF. And if you ask them that you want to try on your own and just need her assistance in conceiving naturally, and if you come to them later, she will get irritated, even talk uncorteously.

Her receiptionist, Sheila, is equally unprofessional.She doesnot know how to talk to the patients . It seems these guys have not been told how to be empathetic to patients who are already worried or even devastated in some cases with not being able to become parents and come to them for help.

My wife called them up the next day of IVF as she experienced some unexpected bleeding (which should never happen ideally). She called up one of her doctor and they said their madam is busy and after an hour she calls up and says nothing to worry.Just relax as its normal in some cases.No medication was given to her. We were really worried at the response and when she kept trying calling her doctor, nobody picked up the whole day. Then, I tried calling all the doctor' s and even same happened with me. Later, I called them directly on the landline through reception and finally I was able to talk with Mrs Sunita Tandulwadkar. What an irrational response that was. Since, by that time she had known that things have gone beyond hands, she spoke in a loud voice and tried to dominate the conversation.
Finally,she said i am increasing your wife' s medicine dosage as she needs more medicinal support.After the increased dose,although the bleeding stopped ,but,by that time we had already lost the precious embryos (imagine-just on the 2nd day of embryo transfer we had lost the embryo already).All the time,patience,efforts and money down the drain.Resultingly,the pregnancy report was negative.

Post operative care was also pathetic.After embryo transfer (which was done in the operation theatre),she was left all alone in the O.T. with nobody to attend to her.She kept calling doctors for some assistance but nobody listened to her for about an hour.Finally,they came inside and asked her to walk back from O.T. to her recovery room.

When we went to see the doctor after the negative pregnancy report,she was not at all apologetic or concerned.She offered no explanation and just told us the alternatives available with us.When we tried to inquire more about the possibilities available and chances of further success,she literally showed us way out saying that \" I have more patients to see.\" .This was absolutely disgusting and unprofessional on part of a doctor who is next to God for unfortunate ones like us.
We regret going to her and wasting our time,energy,patience and hard earned money on her.

We would never recommend Dr Sunita Tandulwadkar to anybody.

Similar arrogant, money minded, misbehaved, impatient, rude Dr. is Vaishali Chavan of Ruby Hall clinic...it is better to stay away from her

This IVF is a gray area...we only come to know about success rates..but behind these there are numerous number of failures...this has become a business for some doctors..who have forgotten their moral and social responsibilities...god will not forgive them

Agree on the comment on Dr Sunita Tendulwadekar. " Your first visit and she will suggest you IUI. Your second visit and she will suggest IVF." This happened with us also.. She is money minded and interested in IVF only. She is very good at marketing. She also asked us to do IVF after 1 IUI. Luckily we went to Gupte Hospital and in 2nd IUI, I got pregnant. Do not get into her trap.

Please suggest me good doctors in Pune. I was planning to visit Dr. Sunita. But I am confused after your post.

We started our treatment in Ruby Hall clinic with a great hope. In the first visit, they suggest us a lot of test and then directly IVF. IVF is hopeless in Ruby hall with no services, they are full commercial and not their treatment is also not successful. Thye charge hefty amount just to loop customers and then without understadning root casue problem,they start their own test own patient and leave them in a situation where she has no option in leaving them. I suggest not to go to Ruby hall, they all doctor are learning.

Dr. Sunita fom Ruby is very very commercial and only wants money. The treatment is very stressful as they keep changing things acc to their convenience. There is just one nurse who gives injections so if you are not comfortable with her there is NO option...she is rude and unethical. The embryologist Sonal (who again is the only one) is supposed to be one of the worst in the country..she will tell you your eggs/embryos didnt make it and keep adding it to the donor bank. Look for a clinic where you are treated well..this place is the worst because they charge you lots but give you the worst service. I have wasted my time and money with them.

Everybody in ruby hall clinic/ poona hospital are rude including doctors especially when they would have to tell you that it is negative...

i had been to dr sunita at rubyhall and my experience was great.she made me so comfortable in very first visit.she is so passionate about her work and take keen interest in you. she not only diagnosed my problem but did excellent endoscopic surgery to resolve it. I cant imagine ,i went to rubyhall in the morning with 10 cm fibroid and went home by evening with fibroid removed. i walked myself to the parking. her endoscopic skills are unbeatable. her personalise attention is a rare scene tobe seen in today,s world. I wonder about your report.I met many couples in the waiting room and seen the amount of praise and respect they have for her. Dr sunita is truly the best

I know for sure about Dr. Avinash Phadnis. He is a very good doctor. We were trying for a baby since 4 years, somebody recommended us Dr. Phadnis' s name. We consulted him and I was pregnant within 2 months of his treatments. I now have a daughter aged 4.

I want to learn more about Dr Avinash Phadnis of Pune. I tried IVF once, with Dr Nandita Palshetkar..it was too costly..too commercial..and no personel attention given to patients. The sonographist at her Mumbai-Girgam hospital..was too rude..and literally misinterpreted the results and the dates, owing to which I had late egg retrieval ..and docs had their anw..ur eggs are not of good quality..its a real frustration when you go through all the pain, expenses and nothing in your hands.
I am planning for second IVF and have heard very good opinions about Dr Avinash Phadnis of Pune. I would be greatly obliged if those who had experienced his treatment could give their views .Thanks

I live in Pune, but went to Dr Firuza Parikh of Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai for IVF. I have heard good things about Dr Avinash Phadnis who has a clinic somewhere in Satara Road, i think. Also, have heard Dr Sunita Tandulwadkar at Ruby hall clinic is good.
I cannot really advise you here as I have had no personal experience with either of these doctors.
Why are you convinced about going for IVF? Has your doctor advised you to? Have you exhausted all other options?
My recommendation would be to go to Mumbai as the doctors there are known to be the best.

Hello all sunita is not good at her diagnoisis. i personally experienced my self how bad she plan the patients to her loop. she is very commercial. she shows lot of hungama even in hospital. patient care is very less. even now a days ruby hall is not treating the patients in good manner. so better you choose different docter.even i sufgferd a lot with her bad treatement
