Hi

I am 31 and TTC since, quite sometime. I had my follicular study done, this month. I was given Hucog 10000 IU (HCG) injection on my 14th day and my follicle ruptured on the 16th day. I want to know, for how long will the egg released after the rupture be alive? In normal circumstance, it remains alive for 24 hours. But will the injection given to me, increase the lifespan of the egg released? Also, now I have been prescibed tablet, Duphaston 10mg, for 10 days and today is my 19th day. Will this increase the chances of me getting pregnant?

duphaston is for luteal phase support. normally many doctors give these kind of progesterone tablets for luteal support. but by ' support' i dont exactly know what it does except that to keep up the progesterone level after rupture... they say it increases the chance of sustenance of pregnancy.
I dont know HCG' s impact on egg' s life. Wish you good luck!!
