Hi Ladies, my 2 cents, you guys need to create a discipline. By doing what Prity is suggesting, you are teaching your child its ok to be distracted and running all over the place at meal time. which will be a pain when they start running about. First thing you need to do is find foods that they actually do like. I know thats the biggest challenge because its all trial and error and hit or miss. Also, I usually sit down with my plate of food and my daughters at the same time. So she understands its meal time and we all are eating together. one bite for her and one bite for me. She is 9 mos now and she is beginnign to figure it out when i put her in her high chair. She only gets her napkin to play with. So its easily accessible for me to wipe her mouth )

Please take no offense. I know its often easier said than done. Good luck.

Poonam

My son is also a very fussy eater. Since he has been on solids, I have had to feed him by telling stories, keeping him engaged in children' s books, or toys. I take small objects in my hands like bottle caps, small bowls, whatever I can find near by and try to be dramatic and make up a story. Or tell him what all he did that day and what he saw if it keeps his interests. Usually I have to try 3-4 different things to get through one meal time...
