I think we should share our special \" tips\" on how we make different foods for our kids..Of course, what my child eats, yours may not, but someone else' s may like it...I' ll start, and lets get this going, so we can get ideas from other desi moms..our kids can be picky, sometimes they will eat their veggies and fruits just like that, and the next day they will make a face at you..so i like to sneak them in sometimes!!

I like to make veggie dosas for my daughter and she likes them..instead of putting bite size pieces of veggies in there, i actually blend the veggies into the dosa batter..that way, even if she eats 9-10 pieces, i am sure she got some veggies in her tummy..

i make pancakes for her with pureed fruit..sometimes i use my own pureed fruit, or if time is not there, i put half of the gerber fruits in the pancake batter..this way, she is getting some fruits also..

here in the us, we have stonyfield organic yogurt..i don' t buy the yo-baby, because they are too expensive, and she doesn' t even finish them sometimes..so i buy the big container in french vanilla flavor, or any other..and at home i mix fruits in it for her..she loves it..i see that she likes this better than the yo-baby..

i mash sweet potatos, carrots, green peas, green beans, any other veggies u have..add a little cheese, jeera powder, haldi, bread crumbs..and make little cutlets...she ate the whole thing...so i will make other veggies like this also for her..

boil cauliflower and broccoli till tender...then sprinkle some amul cheese, or parmesan cheese..she loves it, actually did not make enough for her and she got upet that it was finished..

okay now your turn!!

forgot to post this..this is for over 1 year old, since it has honey and whole milk..these cookies are good for the kids, because they are iron-enriched from the infant cereal...

1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups infant cereal(any brand)
7 tbsp whole milk

heat oven to 375..cream honey and butter together, then add egg and vanilla..in a separate bowl, mix flour, cereal and baking soda..add this dry mixture to the butter mixture..blend all together and then add milk..drop tablespoon full on cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes..

my daughter loves them..
