Periods always reduced the confidence in me, specially since I am physically weak and worried about stains on those days.. Worrying about stains is my past issue now, after I have started using Adira period panties. I would recommend all my girlfriends to use them. We are all happy now.

a period is not a brown discharge, it is usally a dark, deep red, so do not worry about it...... i've not started, so i asked my doc about periods & discarge, if it is very light & lasts for less than a day, then skips & comes back for like a few hours, it isn't a period, so just ask a doctor, they will know better than a book or a site.

i would bloat up, crave sweets, become extremely fatigued, cry, and have such extreme cramping during my period. i am trying evening primrose oil for fertility and it seems to have helped my cramps! i took 6 capsules a day (3000 mg). each capsule is 500 mg. i did not bloat and i had no cramps. usually i must take naproxen for pain, but this really worked. try it and see!!

i am a 19 year old female and i have irregular peroids. i had it for quit some time now. when i went to the doctors they told me it is because of my weight. in order for me to have regular preiods i would have to lose weight first. when the doctor told me that, he answered my questions. as long as i could remember i was over weight, when i started to lose weight i was having regular peroids. thats because i was on a diet plan, and taking dietary pills. when i stopped taking the pills, i noticed the change, and i wasnt having my period. i would go months, and months, without it, even longer. until oneday, my mom relized it. the only reason she didnt realize it before because she gave me time to get my period i was still a teenager. some females get there early, or late. i just figured i was getting mine late. when my mom made me an appointment at the doctors, they told me the reason which was i was over weight. the doctors then gave me a proscription to get on birth control pills that way i could have a reluated periods. at times i would forget to take them, and i even stop because it made me gain weight, hair loss, acne, and i was afraid oneday i was going to have a heart attach. someone please help me, i know for a fact when i get more older its going to to hard for me to have children.

i have the same problems, being extremely irritable and depressed during these 10 ten days. i tried drinking soy milk and consuming soy products. soy contains plant estrogens and they seem to help. this is a dreadful medical problem and it is ironic that modern women have to fall victims to their own hormones.

i have had severe menstrual cramps since age of 12. so much so that my mother use to have to pick me up from school. dr's put me on the pill when i was in my teens which helped for a while but i don't believe in being on it for too long. so, once i went off, the pain is back and now that i'm in my 30's and still having pain i'm at my witts end. i've tried everything. being a marathon runner and triathlete excercise helps temporarily, as does going to bed with a hot water bottle on my lower back. eating healthy has never been a prob for me so this has not changed the pain either but i have found that advil or tylenol 1 with codene helps. it's pathelic that we can send a man to the moon but not find a cure for this. i wonder if it were a man experiencing this pain if a cure would have been found by now.
