 Dear Sir, My daughter aged 10 and half years old have joined judo classes and there she have been practicing yoga with other exercises which caused her Hymen broken and it got loosely attached with vulva. She begun to complain about having found something which hung out from her vulva which she found very disturbing and embarrassing. she generally feel the hanging hymen and think what to do. please let me know what one should do if her hymen got broken at a very young age.  Really good article! It is always better to prepare our daughters for puberty before they get their periods for the first time. They should be mentally prepared, and shouldn't feel like they are the only ones going through it. My daughter was well aware of periods before she got it, since I had a session with her. I gave her a small kit that had pads, a pair of Adira period panty (which is cotton and prevents stain), baby wipes, disposal covers, calendar (so that she marks her period) etc, when she got her menarche. She never felt weird is the best part!

 please don't worry if child has broken hymen. hymen is a very thin and delicate piece of skin. the hymen can be broken by a fginger from a curious child at a young age. there are many girls born with out obvious hymen, it can't be easily seen because it is either not there or does not cover the entire opening of the vagina. the lack of a hymen does not interfere with fertility, nor is the lack of intact hymen proof of intercourse. many girls are born with out one. checking for hymen is not proof of virginity. proof of virginity is impossible to tell. have respect for women and stop worrying about it.

 what happened to the vaginal opening... isn't it above the urethera a little below the clitoris. also is the hymen "the" protector of virginity. so does not having a hymen prove that one is not virgin? in which case if one is born without a hymen or it is broken due to strenuous activity, does this mean the person has lost their virginity?
