Diet and Exercise:Is slow walking good for weight loss?

Name: Malini Aravind I heard slow walking of 3miles per hour is good to burn calories and reduce weight which will have better effect on the physique when compared to fast walking. Have anybody tried or heard of it before?

Hi Malini, i feel someone has misguided you as most of the doctors advice to do brisk walking which helps in sweating and shredding weight within a period of time. Talk to your doctor.

No i have not heard that slow walk is better but brisk walk is the best way to lose weight. It basically is a lil fast walking and when you are walking you should make sure you swing your hand acc to the rhythm of your legs.

I am not sure about the speed but i know that walking in a constant speed without taking many breaks helps one in losing weight. Slow walking does not help. Brisk walking is the type of walk on must do.

hi malini, walking is good for your health, but slow walking is always useful after your lunch or dinner,its helpful for your digestion part, but for weight loss fasr walk is necessary

So what ever you heard might be right but the thing is it would be better do not take self decision because it may effect your life only.And i wish you would burn your calories at any cost and you will be happy always.

Yes i agree with the message you have posted because walking is good for health and it will help to burn calories in the body.But you know based on the our health condition we have walk to some distance and it must be done regularly therefore obviously we will be healthy also.
