5 Father's Day Gifts that Kids Can Make at Home

For a father nothing can be as precious as the handmade gifts made by his own kids. So, this Father’s Day, do not let your kids purchase gifts. Instead sit with them and make Father’s Day gifts at home. Here are some ideas on Father’s Day gifts that kids can make at home.
Just like Mother’s day, Father’s day is also equally important. While on the former day your kids pour their heart out to you as a mother, on Father’s day, it is your duty to ask your kids to let their father know exactly how much they appreciate his presence in their life.
Father’s Day is the day when you can ask your kids to tell their father how much they love him and how much he means to them. But for that you do not always need to go shopping with your kids for expensive gifts. You can sit at home with your kids and make valuable gifts then and there. Handmade gifts are far more valuable than something you have bought form a store no matter how expensive it is.
Are your kids unable to decide what gift would be ideal for their father on this Father’s Day? Here are some ideas that will help them make their father the happiest man on earth.

1. Cards

Cards are one of the most common gifts. Cards can help your kids express things that they can never tell their father face to face. Through words written in a card, your kids can convey the message of love and happiness. They are also one of the most innovative gifts. Your kids can draw, paint or cut and paste pictures. The more colourful it is, the happier their father will be.

2. Photo Frames

Handmade photo frames are another ideal gift for the occasion of Father’s Day. Your kids can decorate it in any way they wish to. They could paint it with their father’s favourite colour or write “Dad” on the border of the frame. Finally, they can put in their favourite photograph with their father. Make sure that the photograph that your kids choose holds a lot of meaning and that the frame complements the picture as well as the memories that it holds.

3. Coffee Mug

Does your husband love his coffee? Then what is better than to present him with a coffee mug that has been customized by his own kids? You can help your kids write catchy lines full of praise for their father. Your kids could also just paint the photo of themselves and their dad on the mug. Or you could simply splash it with colours and sign their names at the end.

4. T-Shirt

Another unique gift that your kids could present their Father with would be a t-shirt that would have a caption like “I Love You Dad” or “My Dad is my Hero”. All you have to do is help your kids get a plain t-shirt from the market and help them paint it with fabric paint. Again your kids can paint whatever they want to.
While some of the kids may settle for writing captions, others can write small stories or poems in it, dedicating it to their father. Another idea is to fill it with your kid’s hand prints and then write their names on those handprints so that the world knows that kids have made it for him.

5. Cupcakes

This is by far the sweetest gift your kids could give their father. While baking a cake might not be possible for kids, you can help them bake cupcakes. You can help your kids make them colourful with different coloured icing on top and you could also add letters made of candy so that it could spell out “Daddy is Awesome” or “My dad is the best”. I’m sure your kids’ father would be ecstatic to see them.
So make sure that whatever your kids give their dad, it is something that he would hold onto forever. You have no idea how happy your husband will be to receive such simple gifts from your kids if they put all their love into it. Help your kids fill their gifts with the happiest and most important memories that they have shared with their hero, their father.
