Fun Ways to Celebrate Children's Day

Children’s Day will be celebrated on 14th November in India and children along with parents and teachers seem excited and enthusiastic about the day. Read on to learn some fun and interesting ways in which you can celebrate this big day with your children.
Children’s Day is celebrated every year on November 14 remembering the extreme fondness of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru for children. Even though schools and different organizations organize events and programs based on children and their interests, you can plan this day to have lot of fun with your children and make this day a memorable one for them. Here are some ideas to choose from.

1. Plan to Attend a Children’s Day Event

There are loads of events happening all over the country on Children’s Day. Most of them are reasonably priced and organized keeping in mind the interests of children of different age groups. Choose the event that fits in the interests of your children, they are definitely going to have fun and an unforgettable day.

2. Organize an Event in Your Society

You can also organize an event in your society involving all children, regardless of their financial status or family background. Children love to participate and perform when they are given a platform and free choice.

3. Plan a Surprise Picnic

Children love to spend any special day by going on a picnic. You can plan one in any local park or drive to the nearest beach or any naturally attractive place. Do not forget to pack some fun activities for your children so that they have ultimate fun and enjoyment.

4. Dress up in Children’s Day Theme

You can dress up along with your children in Children’s Day theme. So, get dressed like pirates and go for treasure hunt. You can also dress up like Pandit Nehru and spend time with children of your society or visit an orphanage to help children out there.

5. Organize Games of Children’s Interest

You can hide something interesting and ask children of your society to make two groups and find the treasure. The winning team will get a prize or dinner at your house, anything that you like to offer. Plan interesting games keeping in mind the age group of children included in your group.

6. Go On a Camping Trip

Make a group of children from your society and go for a camping trip. You can choose your backyard for the purpose. In this way parents of the children will also stay assured of the safety of their children. You can also include parents of the children participating if you want.

7. Decorate the House in a Different Way

You can have a pretended power cut so that you decorate the house with candles. You can play with torches on and tell motivating stories in the dark. Explore inside the house pretending it to be a cave.

8. Have a Movie Party

Call some of the friends of your children and plan out a kid’s movie party. You can organize the party at home with your home theatre on and make some popcorn and enjoy the day with your children.

9. Plant a Tree Plant

Helping your child take interest in nature is the best gift you can give to your child. Plant a tree or at least a flower plant with your child this Children’s Day and celebrate the day by taking a step towards saving our environment.

10. Make a Cake Together

Let your child decide the flavour and involve her when making a cake. Invite her friends so that she has a full lot of fun together. You can make or decorate some premade cupcakes. Just keep in mind that the main intention is to have fun and spend time together. Do not focus or get disturbed about the end product.
With so many ideas one of the above is definitely going to impress you. One thing that is most important here is that celebrating Children’s Day means spending time and sharing love with children. They can be your children or children from a local orphanage. Make a trip to any slum area and offer gifts to children over there. Your children will also love this activity and remember always.

How to celebrate Children’s Day so that it becomes one of the unforgettable days for children? What gifts can be given to children on the occasion of Children’s Day? How to celebrate children’s day with babies and toddlers? Discuss here.
