One of the world's favourite fruits, and America's number one flavour, the humble orange is loaded with Vitamin C, bioflavniods, potassium as well as calcium. This citrus fruit helps to keep the blood capillaries strong and healthy and can actually speed up the healing process in the body.
Vitamin C is found in the white fibrous layer, directly under the peel. Orange juice is a great favourite in the tropics and is even used to enhance the flavour of certain recipes. But do avoid it if you are prone to canker sores, as they can cause flare-ups.
Papaya is a deliciously soft tropical fruit that has long been used to relieve flatulence and aid digestion. It is also used as a beauty treatment to lift dead flaky skin.
It has high content of Vitamin A and C, as well as magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and organic sulphur. It also contains papain, which is a natural enzyme, known to break down complex proteins into simple molecules. Pregnant women as well as those taking anti-depressant or anti-hypertensive drugs should avoid this fruit.
Melons are one of the most popular summertime thirst-quenchers. They come in many varieties ---- the watermelon, the yellow melon, the Persian, the Cantaloupe and the Honeydew. Melon contains Vitamin C and high potassium content, with traces of Vitamin B complex.
One should avoid eating melon juice after a heavy meal. The juice can disturb the digestive system after it interferes with the consumed food. Therefore always have a glass of melon juice on an empty stomach.

It will help in prevention of colds, strengthening of capillary walls and general healing process of the body. But the high pectin content of grapefruit juice interferes with the absorption of dietary fat, so people with weak digestive systems should try to avoid it.
