Terms and Conditions for Baby Photo Contest
Welcome! By using Indiaparenting.com's Baby Photo Contest feature, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
Registration of contest entry
The terms related to registration are given below. In case of failure to abide by any terms given below, a contest entry may be rejected anytime after submission.
Registered Member - You should be a registered member of IndiaParenting.com in order to enter your baby in the contests or vote for a contesting baby.
Age of contestant - The contestant's age should not exceed 3 years.
Format of photograph - The photograph should be in 'gif' or 'jpeg' format only. Please confirm the clarity of the photo before submitting it. Photographs which are not clear or legible, will not be accepted.
Dimensions of the photo - The photograph should be atleast 150 pixels x 200 pixels , which is our standard size for the contests. It is advisable, not to send any picture above 600 x 600 pixels.
Six months - If a baby has already contested in one of our contests, he/she cannot enter the contest again for atleast next six months from the date when such contest was held.
Contest Fee - You do not need to pay any fee in order to register for our contests and there are no hidden costs also. This feature is a part of our FREE Services provided to all our valued members.
Contest Duration and Voting
The terms related to the contest duration and voting are given below.
Date & Time of contest closing/change - The contest will be closed and the next one will be started on the date specified below the voting form, according to the Indian Standard Timings. The contest will be closed and the next contest will begin at anytime during the business day, on the specified date of the contest. It generally closes on the 1st, 8th, 16th or 24th of the month, unless that happens to be a Sunday or a public holiday in Mumbai, in which case a date will be specified at the start of the contest. No requests will be entertained to extend or reduce the duration of the contest.
Manipulation of voting - Any contestant may have to face disqualification if, at any point in time, it is found that there is/was an attempt to manipulate votes of the baby.
We reserve the right to disqualify a contestant or contest entry. A contestant or contest entry may have to face disqualification, if it is found that, there are attempts to manipulate the voting system or voting at any point in time during or after the contest is closed/started.
Awards and Winners decision by the Judges
Initial votes allotted by Judges - All contestants will be allotted votes ranging from 5 to 30 by our Panel of Judges based on various factors such as, first impression of the photograph, any costumes worn by the baby, smiling baby, cute baby, happy baby, clarity of the face in the photograph etc.
Popular choice awards - Popular choice awards, is given based on the number of votes earned by a contestant. Contestant receiving the maximum number of votes will be declared the winner by 'Popular Choice'.
Critics choice awards - Judging will be done by our panel of judges. The decision taken by the Judges will be final in all cases. Critics choice awards, is given purely based on the decision taken by our Panel of judges. There is no prejudice towards sex, race or location of the baby.
Winner Declaration and Winner Notification
Winners Declaration - The Panel of Judges or the site will not be held responsible for a baby losing a contest and the site and it's management will not be held responsible for the total number of votes a baby receives at the time of declaration of the results.
Winners Notification - Winners will be notified via an email, sent at the address used at the time of registration, within a week after the winners are announced.
