Due Date Club November 2003:Worried

Hi Girls

Hope you all are doing good. this is going to be a tough week for me, my GT results will come in tomorrow, I'm very nervous about that. My test went ok, but I threw up all of the stuff they gave me to drink right after that, I'm very nervous about the results. My parents are going in for their visa later this week. I hope things go well for them. I have been fretting so much over both these issues all weekend.. have been in tears most of the time. Hubby's really mad at me for worrying so much :( just venting out..

You all take care

Thank you all for your replies.. I'm sorry I vented out this way, I'm usually a very controlled person but I guess pregnancy changes everything, doesnt it? :) Bargavi, its good to know that someone else also threw up like me after the test.. eased my mind. thanks! I guess the real reason I am so worried about the GT is that I am already a very picky eater, and it will be really hard if I have to follow a strict diet. But, all you guys are right, stressing out wont help.. so I've just postponed all my thoughts until tomorrow.

I see a lot of people on our board have GTs scheduled.. wishing you all the very best luck, and please do not stress out on it like I did! :-)

Hi Vandana,

Even I am in the same boat as you, waiting for my GTT results this week. But, I am not worried as I would be happy if it got detected, rather than going unnoticed. After reading the posts about this, it doesn't seem that bad at all.

Regarding visa, your parents will get it. There's no reason why it would be rejected. Just be positive, don't cry. Stress is not good for the baby or you. I know, you'll be the happiest next week once you get the results and your parents are getting prepared to visit you. I hope you won't forget us once your parents arrive :-)

Take care,
Vindhya

Hi Vandana
I am from the Oct Board.
Dont worry ur not the only one who threw up the drink.
I flunked my 1hr test and had to go for 3hrs. After I had the drink in 45 min or so I threw up most of it. Still they continued my test and the drink had mixed in with the blood by then. So dont worry if the test is not satisfactory they might repeat it for u.
They have ways to know if test was succesful or not, even if we throw up.
Cheer up and good luck for ur parents Visa.
Bargavi

Hey Vandana, I know how worried you must be about everything and I know how hard it is to not worry about them. All we can do is try not to let things get to us too much and try compartmentalizing things as much as possible.
That's what I do when I have too many things to think about and do at any one time. I try and relax and deal with one thing at a time.

Vent all you want and we are all here to support you in whatever way we can.

Good luck with your week ahead. I am sure everything will turn out just fine.

TAke CAre

Diaper Service Provider,Bangalore
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a Diaper Service Provider in Bangalore? They generally provide cloth diapers and replace them with a new set every 2-3 days.

Thanks in advance
