my baby is just 6 months old... for the past 1 week she cries n screams if i take her near my breast for nursing...it really depresses me. I can only feed her when she is sleeping. If sh eis awake she likes to eat only baby solid food. She hates to take formula in the feeding bottle. I expressed milk on the spoon n gave her. She is liking it only in the spoon...... How to make her to get back to the breasts???? Hetal replied. keep trying,,there is nothing much we can do on this. babies once when atarted at solids, often repel from bm or formula..give them whatever they eat or drink or by any means..
and now its 6 months,,nothing wrong to start weaning,,people make efforts to wean baby by end of 1 year,,because then it bcomes tough,,so if your baby has already started doing it, why not go ahead and train her to wide bottle neck bottle or even spoon feeding is fine ! at least he will graduate to it ! actually making a habit of bf while sleeping has been one of the big concerns for mom,,that during weaning babies have cried to ask for feeds to sleep ! why make that habit then !
express your breastmilk and give it by bottle if she is not comfortable t o formula,,keep pumping every 4-5 hours to continue the supply until 1year,,as bm has its benefits !
try bf when she is really hungry,,like after 2-3 hours of solids,,when hunger strikes,,some babies accept all the modes of food or milk given to them !
if you want to still get her to breasts, keep trying !good luck
