Hi All,

I need your help.I got married last year and concieved after two months.I wanted to have my husband with me during the last few months but he felt It would be best if I stay at my mother or in-laws place .Thus at the end of seventh month I travelled to Delhi where my in laws stay.
It was ok initially but now whenever I and my mom-in-law talk even for 5 mins it ends up into an unharmonious situation no matter how much I try.
I am missing my husband/my mom-dad so much that I cry all time.I feel depressed and dont feel like eating at all or sometimes in tension i tend to over eat.I husband tries to listen patiently over phone but it dosent provide the emotional and physical support I need at this stage.
I am so depressed that waiting each day seems like a year and I feel like asking the doctor for a C-section which is not correct I know.
Please please anyone help me.I am so depressed and I know this is affecting my child also.

Dear Vanshi,

This kind of situation comes to many of us..usually it is adviced that the first delivery takes place at Mom's house..C'ause you might find more warmth and you are used to the environment...Especially after delivery you defenitely need more support from someone whom you are at ease...because you might feel difficult in feeding the baby, you might feel more hungry and you often want to eat etc..etc.. such cases you can prefer your mother than your m-i-l. Now that you are already in you MIL house, its no good feeling depressed etc.. So try to engage urself in small hobbies like painting..etc etc and try to while away the time..
But make sure that after you have delivered ur mom's around to help you.

Hi,
Read ur message can understand how you are feeling. please talk to your husband and see if you can shift to your mother's place. you are definately affecting your child. I know of someone who was in a similar situation as you are and till date her daughter is very dull and she feels maybe it was because of her depression during pregnancy. Whatever you feel will affect your child. If you are not able to go to your mother's place, think to make good of the situation and try to avoid confrontrations with your mother in law. Your kid is feeling your moods also. Take care and avoid being depressed.
