Why does curd or yogurt form an important part of our diet and what are its health benefits? Is it good to have curd when we are dieting? Can consuming curd help to gain weight?

I like one product of curd very much which is lassi. Lassi can be prepared in various forms. I like dry fruit and saffron lassi. It tastes very yummy. I also tried to prepare fruity drink as mentioned in the article, it really tastes good. The other product that I like which is prepared forms curd is shrikhand. Shrikhand prepared with mango flavour is my favourite. This delicious thing knows as curd or yogurt provides lot of health benefits and should be consumed in a right quantity. I also like buttermilk curry which tastes good when consumed it rice.

Curd results in weight gain. So I suggest that people who want to lose weight should avoid consuming too much of curd. I am saying this as per my experience. Even my mother suggested it to me many times but I did not believe her. But finally when I consumed it regularly I noticed a weight gain. So one should eat diet curd or pro-biotic curd produced by Nestle or may be some other company. It is very good to consume curd in very low quantity regularly with lunch but do not consume it after dinner. Drink lassi in summers during afternoon you will feel good.

I do not eat curd because it gives lot of health benefits but I eat curd because I like its taste. It is very yummy and tasty. Mostly curd tastes good when it is fresh. The Masti dahi is my favourite curd. It is very thick and creamy always in its container. I really love to eat it, so I consume it regularly. Now a day, we get curd in many forms. Some companies have also manufactured diet and low fat curd. It is good to consume curd in various new forms. I also like other product like shrikhand and lassi which are prepare from curd. Some times I prepare the curd at home only.
