I have a son who is abt to go to school now but i am really confused about the typical study patterns that all the 3 boards offer.

Earlier ICSE and CBSE were not so well known in mumbai but of late this is a craze.all parents are running to take admissions for icse / cbse schools.. not to mention the exorbitant fees charged by these schools.

wud somebody plz help me to take a decision abt the differences between these boards and their education pattern.

also in vileparle/ santacruz area which are the best schools for icse/cbse and ssc.

hi
i agree it is vry confussing but it is good to go fr icse board or ssc bcaz in cbse board the goverment has made a new rule that girls education wll be free(not that iam against this idea, it is a wonderfull idea but---) fr secound girl child the fees will be only half were else for boys it will be full. if this happens any body & every body will join the school & if the school cannot collect money they will be forced to hire lesser paid techers who wont be well qualified so the standard may go down. do consider all this points before admitting your child. is u hv no plans to shift from bmbay then ssc is best.

Subject:  CBSE/ICSE/SSC



The difference in SSC & CBSE/ICSE is vast & in terms of practicals, close to reality. I'm not sure @ difference between ICSE & CBSE.
Though I think CBSE is more towords technological things & better for getting into IITs since its syl. is comprehensive & covers all professional exams in India.

Even I am in the same boat , Though I am Engineer by professional . and studied in SSC board. Now a days it is very much common to send children in ICSE/CBSE boards . I am also in Vile Parle ,and looking for good schools in Parle/Santacruz. Heard Podar in Satacruz and Jamnabai in Juhu are good . Chhatrbhuj in VileParle is also ICSE affilitated
