A brief back ground about me:i am 25 yr old girl.i have always been a confident and independent person.i have been wrkg with a reputed MNC here in india(banglore) for the past 2.5 years.i have a bf ,and with parents blessings,we r getting married in oct. he is in US currently for past 4-5 months .he is onsite through our company.i really have no intention of getting married and being in US like may of my friends. but sometimes the snaps that they post,the life that they r living in US makes me little jealous and i feel low. in my case,me and my bf both prefer india so he wil b coming back here after marriage and we will settle in banglore itself.
now,many of u on this board may b from different countries or would have visited atleast..tell me,do they live a life there like they portray with stylish clothes,freaking lifestlye,away from relatives..and enjoying.many of my friends have gone in for an arranged marriage and thet searched a groom who was settling in US. and thts how they are there.this all makes me feel that may b even we should settle there but i dont want to leave my job and there i cant work sonce my bf is in H1b visa currently. so we both have decided to n here in india.

I can see how you feel about this decision : to be in India or outside. For people who have not gone out of India......the feeling is ' I must go' for people who have gone, even once, then they are in a better frame to look at this choice.

It is good to be outside, an exposure to other culture is certainly something that expands one' s horizons.

Since you are about to get married......the best thing or should i say the priority is to be with one other and enjoy the company in a familiar place, people, and food. As you get to know each other you could explore what the two of you could do together.

Regards Mehek replied. You feel that way because people there live a very free life and also tend to hang out a lot in groups etc. The other reason is that because everyone is stuck indoors during winter, when summer comes people go out a lot and travel a lot as well.

If you were to move there you will also enjoy the change in lifestyle. But you have to have a positive outlook, be confident and try and fit in with people and accept them for who they are whatever their morals or opinions.

US people are bold, outspoken and say and live as they feel. Trust me I am talking from experience :) Afriend replied. Dear the grass is always greener on the other side .U can not get the intricate details unless & untill u urself go their & experince it .Others will always show the brighter side of life will they tell u dear that in US they do all the work themself no maids there ?? Will they ever send u the photographs of them washing dishes .

In the end the most imp. thing is what we want from life & not how others are leading the life .
For some money is imp. over mental peace and for some peace is more imp. over money .
It is u who has to sit down and think what u want from life & then decide let not the life of ur friends decide it .
