Name: Rashmi Pls suggest some remedy for colic. My 2 and half months baby becomes very restless due to colic. He feels sleepy and hungry but can not sleep or take feed due to colic.

Pls suggest some remedy for colic. My 2 and half months baby becomes very restless due to colic. He feels sleepy and hungry but can not sleep or take feed due to colic. Mrs.Mani replied. My baby is now 4 mths 3 week old. He was suffering from colic since he was 4 weeks old. Our doc gave us some colic meds (coliza), however it didnt give prominent results. Finally we gave him gripe water (woodwards) believe me within 3-4 days he stopped crying like he use to. Initially we didnt wanted to give him gripe water as doc dont suggest. You can try gripe water as i think most of Indian baby must have taken Gripe as it is very ancient technique of relief for baby pain. Sujata replied. finally i decided to amend my diet....went complete veg for around a month having only chapati n boiled veggies...no dal and no orka too..

well and it paid off...now i have started having everything...without any problems..

also tryin holding your baby very close to you...and sing to your baby cheek to cheek...works wonders too

my baby would get calm when i took her near a running tap...strange but i worked for me...

so keep a watch on all these things too...

i knw people say v should eat everything...as the baby has to adjust...but i cudnt see my poor lil angel suffer....

i guess one should gradually start having everything...

anyway dont worry this phase will pass soon....

Hi rashmi, my daughetr is about 10 months old now..i still give her neopeptine drops for colic pain..it really worked...u can give it half an hr before or after feed...three times a day 5 drops...but before giving just ask u dr...it worked very well for my daughter....
