Hai friends,
Can anyone tell me what is the right age for joining a kid in play school? My kid is 20 months.. v.active but he never moves with others even with neighbours.. and he speaks only 2-3 words which is v.low compared with the other kids of his age.Will joining in pre school help him to talk well and move easily with others.. some say that 20 months is too early.. but some suggest that mingling with other kids will help him.. what u all suggest.. help me.. There is no need to panic. 20 months is a bit early to put your child in a play school. It is important for your kid to be in the company of his peers. If possible, you can take him to the park/garden at that time when there are children around and I am sure within a few days he will become friendly and slowly start to talk also.
What I did was enroll my son to a nearby creche when he was 18 months old because there were no kidas of his age in the neighbourhood. Initially he started going for 2 hours daily and gradually for four hours. He made a lot of friends, learned to talk and communicate and most importantly started eating too. You can also try the same.
