this may be very silly, but i just wanted to clear my mind up regarding this.it has been bothering me since a long time, so thought i' ll get some help here.

my daughter' s due date was jan 30th, but she was born on jan 13th. my birthday is June 13th. my childhood was very bad.my mom passed away when i was 5yrs old due to breast cancer.then my dad remarried & my stepmom never liked me.i went through an emotional abuse all my childhood.overall my 1st part of life was very sad & trumatic until i got married.after marriage things started getting better & i' m so much in love with my husband & more than anything i have this most beautiful gift\" my daughter\" now.

but somehow i had this at the back of my mind that may be all this happened since i was born on 13th.our family never believes in all these things.i only heard it from my friends in school that 13 is an unlucky number & from then on i started believing it.when my due date was given as jan 30th i was so relieved that i' m far away from 13th, but to my disbelief my baby was born 3 weeks early & exactly on 13th date of all.

my husband says that nothing like that exists & we just need to have God' s blessings to have a good life, but i' m somehow paranoid about this. i dont want my daughter to suffer like me.this thing was killing me inside.i didnt know whom to talk to. so i thought this is the best place to get some opinions on this as people here are very helpful & give their honest opinions.

is 13th really an unlucky number? i dont know whats the myth behind this?? none of our family members believe in this & they dont even know about it.

please help me.have you come across anyone born on 13th & has a happy & successful life? i know i shouldnt be thinking like this, hope you all understand my feelings.i just want the best for my baby, so i' m getting paranoid about it.please help.i really want to know about this.

He is just a sign of smile. If we see his smiling face we get mesmerised and he is the Greatest Guru for many of celebrities . Vijay Malya, One of the successful businessman, is his disciple and follows RavishankarJi.

So , If 13 is not an auspicious day, he wouldn' t have been such a great person in many ppl' s heart.

I hope by now, u would have eliminated the number 13 idea, from your mind. Still, I wanted to tell you this living example too.

I couldnt avoid telling u something about me after I read your post..

I' m now 52yrs old .
I' m most successful woman and I born on Oct 13nth 1956. I came thru all the stages in life and now heading towards old age. I' m the happiest and luckiest , I should say!

In my childhood, I was active and clever and I' was the most loving kid to parents teachers..etc..

After marriage I got loving husband, and because of his encouragement I could finish my PhD and could manage good career. I' m gifted with one daughter and son ,they r in bright careers now. I never lacked anything. they both are married.

Even My Daughter also born on September 13nth 1978 but never faced any sad thing in life. She is now settled in USA with her loving hubby and cute 2 little kids. So everything was fine in my life till now. and I hope everything goes fine with my daughter too.

I too have heard 13 is unlucky number for foreigners...but I never believed in it.
See some beliefs are made out of some experiences. And if we think negative , negative energy will be generated and everything happens negative.

If we view everything with positive mind, we can see wonders cam be created with the power of positive energy.
For many ppl in Andhra ' AMAVASYA' is bad day and not an auspicious day. but , same AMAVASYA' is Auspicious to Tamilians.

If two states in one country consider same day in different angles, Why should we take some foreigners belief on number 13 as our beliefs?/
So, take this number belief out from your mind and lead a successful life ahead.
REMEMBER !! Never ever utter this to your daughter. She might develop same feelings.

Just be ok, and stay cool . Forget it.

Don' t worry...dates have nothing to do with your destiny or luck. I was married on Friday the 13th...everyone said oh how can you it is such an unlucky day in the calendar but that was the only date available for us to be married else we would have had to wait 6 months for availability. We have a succesful marriage been married for 12 years with 2 beautiful children.

So please don' t worry....you had a bad childhood but that doesn' t mean your daughter will too :) BE HAPPY! Rashi replied. DEar whether you believe or not 13 is my luckiest no. so far . i start all my important tasks on 13th and try to buy important things on 13th for example car, refrigerator,laptop etc.
So forget everything and concentrate on her upbringing.

I was born or 13th.my daughter is born on the 13th.

i had a happy life while i was a child and so am i too.married with two kids and a loving husb. i have heard people say that 13th is not a good number . but this has just not got into my head at all.

it is only the way we look at things around us that would bother . to tell you the truth till this moment it has never bothered me at all and it will never bother me at all in the future too. 13th is just another number that is all.

be happy that you have a great life now. past is past.... from this very moment you should take an oath that this would never bother be at all. god decides the time of birth and death. not man. he has a reason too for that.
