i have a 5 month old daughter.when she was born, she had lots of hair.now everything is gone & she is pretty much bald.i feel so bad to see that.i dont have my mom, & i dont know whom to ask about this.
my baby' s head was completely covered with silky hair at birth, but now i can only see her scalp.we live in a very cold area, so i hardly gave her head bath as i was scared if she catches cold or fever.is this because of the less head bath i gave?
what should i do to get her hair back?how many times a week should i give her head bath?any products,oil should i apply which is good for babies hair?i live in US.please suggest some tips & products to improve her hair.

DO not get tensed. FIrstly, to have good hair, one must take a a diet that is rich in protein, whether u r a grown up or a baby. So please check on the foll.
1. Is she taking enough milk ?
2. Have u started giving her solid food like rice porridge and dal ?
3. WHat vegetables are u giving her ?
SInce she is 5 months old, do give her rice and little of pressure cooked toor dal water or moong dal with a small piece of boiled and mashed potato to start with.
As far as possible, avoid those readymade baby foods (esp. gerber baby food) which do no good, only increase weight but are not very nutritious in nature. U can also give cerelac for dinner. Add a small piece of banana or boiled and mashed apple to it.

If u eat eggs, u can also give her boiled white egg, but consult your doctor because she is only 5 months old. Ideally eggs are given at the age of 1 year.

For local application, mix coconut oil and baby oil and warm it and gently massage on her head. Leave for 10 minutes and then give her a nice head bath with baby shampoo, but do the massage very gently, not vigorously. If it is cold, u can put the heater and also after the bath, after drying her completely, keep her warm and cozy with socks, wollen pants, sweater and a cotton head cap that will cover the ears and the central portion of the head.
Try these tips, i am sure there will be an improvement within 3-4 months, till then, she will be around 9 months aand u can give her new foods as well.
