Hello everybody,

My son is in 5th Standard SSC board and in June he will be in 6th Standard in a school in Mumbai.

Altho quite premature to think on this issue but we are contemplating a career in engineering for him.

I wish to know from the forums how necessary is it to appear for HOMI BHABHA science exam and is it necessary and worthwhile to join a special coaching class for the same.

Does it help ? Is it an stress on the child ? Are we complicating his growing years ? Should we rather put him in a football class ?

I hope to see a lot of responses from the forum and many thanks in advance for the same.

Hi this exam is quite good and will surely be helpful for your kid. There are a lot of people who tell their kids to appear for this exam which is a extra set of knowledge which will stay quite helpful

See homi baba science exam is not at all necessary and it will be fine if your son does not give it. He is in 5th std and it is too soon to think about what he should do in his future. Think about it when he in 8th or 9th grade.

So which school you have decided to do can you share what would be the solution to your problem then you can find the better solution so that there will be some sort of solution to your problem.I wish you would do that.

homi bhabha is a competitive exam and it is not necessary to join special coaching class for iit. and let ur child decide what he wants to do in future rather u deciding he will do engineering. let him also decide whether to sit for the exam oor not. my parents does the same. it will make him responsible to decide what he should do with his life.
