Hi gals,

Arshdeep is having too much cold and cough. I am really worried. Do you have any idea or any home ramedy for newborns.

We went to pediatrician for our first 2-week appointment. She said that just watch for 2-3 more days than take him to emergency (in case if its weekend). He could have RSV. But this thing happens to only premies, and he was full term baby.

Is it okay if i'll give him vicks steam? Its almost 5 days now he is having this. His chest makes sounds 'coz of mucus. I am really worried. Please help.

Any kind of help will be appriciated.

Hey Aarti,
Arjun has a bit of cough in between his nose and chest. We took him to the pediatrician and she could not see any congestion. But we can definitely hear his cough - in newborns cough sound louder than normal. She suggested we use a humidifier in his room, use saline drops for blocked nose, feed him in the bathroom filled with steam etc.

I tried saline drops too. but he has more problem with cough than stuffy nose.
